CCMS is involved in a number of ongoing projects. These include the running of the journal Critical Arts and the African Cinema and TV initiative as well as numerous video production and cultural policy projects. CCMS has also been running a project in the Kalahari for the past few years.
CCMS works with a number of strategic partners who contribute to its teaching and research programmes. Those involved in the general areas of Communication for participatory development are:
