Jacob is an on-going PhD candidate and his research generally falls within the domain of media studies. The work puts Ghana’s Fourth Republic under the microscope to find out how specifically the print media has fared in terms of freedoms to deliver effectively in the public sphere. Thus, its main objective is to explore the relationship between media independence on one hand and the legal, economic and political environments within present-day Ghana on the other using content analysis and interviews. The candidate has published a book on ‘guidelines to research writing’ and has written articles published in company quarterly journals in Ghana. Currently, Jacob is a lecturer in Media Planning, Advertising Technology, Web Design and Public Relations at Takoradi Polytechnic, Ghana. His interests are reading and exploring into subjects of academic endeavour.
